(kaya please ung mga hirit from other forums. humarap muna kayo sa salamin ng slight.) bagay siya sa nangyayari ngayon sa pulitika ng pilipinas dahil pati ba naman cheering competitionay pinulitika niya! nakakahiya ka!! sinira mo ang kredibilidad ng cheering competition, binastos mo ang UAAP institution, at sinira mo ang spirit ng sportsmanship at camaraderie ng mga lumalahok sa competition na ito. dahil sa ginawa mo, dinamay mo ang buong ust. dahil sa ginawa mo ay galit ang ibang schools sa school niyo. matakot ka! matakot ka sa ginawa mong kalokohan. sapat ng sabihin na hindi mababawi ang pagkapanalo ng ust ngunit hindi mo na rin mababawi ang nagawa mo.humarap ka sa gawi at mga taga-ust at magpaliwanag ka!!! if i were from ust, tanungin niyo na lang siya. hindi ang nestle cheer ang nagpapanalo sa ust! Why? note that SEPARATE ang scoring ng school cheer sa nestle part. so WALANG EFFECT AT HINDI MAHAHATAK ng nestle niyo ang school cheer score niyo!! kaya eventhough you ended it wid a bang, as you say you did, your school cheer part was still a flat,boring routine, pero o nga pala, malinis. compare niyo sa mga choreography this year from other schools at i-compare niyo na rin sa choreography niyo during the previous years. The excitement was not there anymore and it was palpable. hindi na siguro makaisip kasi last year- parang inulit yunroutine. ngayon trying to be different, naging flat. In addition to that, walang 1pt deduction sa pyramids ang UP dahil nga 5 ang pyramids nila.Dats all thank you! Kaya isip muna tayo lahat mgaf riends kung paano nanalo ang hindi naman dapat nanalo. Hindi nanalo ang ust dahil sa nestle.. at mas lalo ng hindi dahil sa school cheer. Nanalo sila dahil kay JOSHUA PAGTALUNAN. Dats all salamat!!!

I won a second prize (yeah, PM!) in a very prestigious literary contest that I’ve been dreaming of ever since I was in my second year in highschool. I didn’t win the first prize but i didn’t f*cking care! The point is, I WON! I was one of the three who was SO LUCKY and won the prize(in my category)!

I have nothing against the 1st prize winner (and close na kami nung 3rd). Hindi ko sya siniraan. I didn’t tell everyone that the 1st prize winner was an alien from the outer space who came here to rule the world and it’s so unfair the she won because she’s not a Filipina.

If there’s one thing that I learned in my English class that became really essential to me, It’s Albert Camus’ The Myth of Sisyphus.

I remembered a classmate in our basketball class that totally pissed me off. He kept on insisting that their team won (our team officiated) the game and the shot that he made was supposed to be counted. It was a run for the first place (i think).

But he made the shot after the time ended. Meaning, hindi na talaga counted. Then he still insisted that we didn’t warn him na wala ng time. We were like ‘ Huh? Sumisigaw na nga kami na tapos na yung oras eh’. We could have accepted our faults if he didn’t really hear our warning. Pero narinig kasi ng mga team mates nya, as well as his opponents. Everyone stopped playing but he was still running all by himself. Tapos ang lakas pa ng loob nyang magreklamo. How stupid was that.

Kung sakin lang, buti nga nakapasok sila sa top 4. There were five teams and my team was at the bottom!

That only proved that NO ONE CAN REALLY BE CONTENTED IN WHAT THEY HAVE. CRAB MENTALITY, ANYONE?

That sucks.

Do you think they would be happy with their life in that kind of attitude? I don’t think so.

Balut, anyone?

Have you guys tried eating balut? You know, the partially developed duck eggs that some reality-based shows keep on feeding their contestants? It is a popular Filipino ‘pulutan’ and it is not gross.

I don’t know what’s wrong with them and the food. I totally enjoy eating it! Haha! I’m weird. Maybe because I grew up eating it and it is in my Filipino culture. Or maybe because of the old man shouting ‘BALUUUUUUT, BALUUUUUT’ in the middle of the night, every night since I was born. I think it’s the latter

The problem with them is that they imagine the food as really really disgusting. That’s pretty wrong. Mind over matter lang yan. You might tell me, ‘easy for you to say!’, but, it IS really easy for me to say!

Maybe they cooked it the wrong way. Maybe they undercooked it. If you really want to know how to prepare an oh-so-good balut, ask my mom! It’s not really disgusting. As a matter of fact, it’s really tasty!

But of course, I noticed that they were eating it the wrong way. They were like eating it all in one bite (or two or three, maybe). They should:

*** eat the part one-by-one. To savor the flavor, kung baga.

*** first, they must sip the ’sabaw’. It usually tastes pretty good, especially when warm.

*** then, the yellow part. I think, it’s the yolk. This is my favorite part because of it’s distinct taste (in a positive sense). They really must enjoy this part.

*** then there was this hard thingy on it. It’s edible, but hard. Para syang buto. But if they are lucky enough, they can have a a ’softer’ version.

*** then the part i like least, the embryo. I would enjoy the ‘not yet developed’ ones. But, there’s really no problem in eating then, unless of course if they are pro-life. If anything else fails, let your younger sister/older brother to eat them:)

*** it is best to eat a balut with salt and when it’s still warm. Bon Appetite!

ok, next time, i’ll teach you guys how to eat One Day Old!(a literal one day old chick sold at every fishball stand)

Ladies and gents, meet my babies: my brand new pair of ChuckTaylor.Pretty ei?

Dale, Jen , Vangge and I went to SM North EDSA this afternoon. Vangge was supposed to buy her shoes and Jen, her yellow shirt for tomorrow’s event. The two dragged me along, and Dale went with us.

Yes, those pretty chucks are the fruits of my award money. I hate to say this, but I didn’t like the feeling of spending my own cash. It was dreadful! For all you know, I have been spending my own money for apparel and shoes ever since… never! I have parents for that.
(I usually pay for my ‘other’ stuff. Like bags and books and cd’s and… you get the picture)

But I have no regrets whatsoever. I’ve been eyeing for this pair for months now, and this is really an early christmas gift for myself(or a very very very late birthday present. Whatever).

Anyways, I also grabbed an AUTOMATIC PAYONG(hurray!). I’m SO happy!:) Finally! after a lot of thinking! Imagine that! An automatic umbrella. It took me a whole lot of time to think it over. I mean, it was the biggest decision i have yet… buying an umbrella. Dream come true. (Well actually, it was Jenny’s dream. Don’t ask. Hehe )

I just can’t get over my pair… and the umbrella of course.:)

Vangge, Dale and I were on our way home. We rode a jeepney going back to UST.

Here’s the picture. Kaskasero ang driver. Period. I thought that it was my last trip ever. It was like a trip to hell! Riding that jeepney is like… going to Enchanted Kingdom (and riding all the rides). Plus, the road then was really really slippery! So, you’ll have to decide where you wanna end up: your destination or the hospital. I honestly thought I was going to die.

Argh! What is *bleep bleep* wrong with my *bleep bleep* internet connection! We are paying lots of *bleep bleep* bucks for a fast connection and this is what we get? A *bleep bleep* slow internet connection?! DIAL UPs ARE SO MUCH FASTER! What the *bleep* is wrong? Would you *bleep bleep* believe that it took me 5 *bleep bleep* hours just to open my *bleep bleep* email account?! Argh! I can’t even open my own *bleep bleep* weblog! And worst, I can’t access the *bleep bleep* Pinoy Big Brother website! I’m missing a lot! I love that show.(huh?)

I’m really pissed off. And it takes a lot to piss me off. Slow internet connections are one of them.

Booyah! I received my award yesterday. Whew. I mean WHEW.

The night was filled with talented artists. Majority of which were young writer. Cool. Really cool.
I don’t want to stress myself out and give all the details. It might turn out boring for those who are not literature enthusiasts, and a dream come true to those who breath through literature.

I met/saw a whole bunch of new people. Palanca people were so nice! I’m not saying this because I won, but because they were really nice. Pagpasa palang namin ng entry, natuwa na kami kasi sobrang babait nila.

Then i saw Dean and Nikki Alfar for the first time. I immediately recognized the familiar faces ‘coz i frequent their sites. Astig. Cute couple. Congrats po ulit!:D

Then, there was Arnold Pascua II. He won the 3rd place in the category in which I belonged. Cool guy. He was quite quiet, but I can tell that he is nice and there was a pretty hilarious side of him. I kinda liked his ‘kutsara and tinidor’ hirit(don’t ask). Feeling ko magkakasundo kami ‘coz we both needed a crash course for HOW TO DELIVER NON-CORNY JOKES 101.

Dr. Cirilo Bautista was there too. Wow. You know, I really admire him, not just as a writer, but as a person. He was so simple. He managed to stand out in a sea of glamour with his simplicity. He was dressed up like (if my memory serves me right) how he was dressed last Fiction Forum at UST. Cool.:D

Then, Mr. Manuel Buising. He is the writer of ABS-CBN’s ‘Mga Anghel na walang langit’, writer of some of FPJ’s movies and *ehem ehem* this year’s Hall of Fame Awardee. Oh, by the way, we share the same table with him the whole night:)

While I was browsing some books at the library, I came across this poem (On our way back from Balic-Balic). Balic Balic is a place very very very near where i live. Hershey, Marj, Abu(though bandang Espana kasi sya), Cjay and some of my friends live there. Too bad my memory’s too poor to remember the author’s name. Shoot me.

A flower. I was not the one who took this. Admit it. It’s pretty. No. It’s sublime. Jenny was responsible for that. Maybe I need to admit that I suck in photography.

I took this while thinking of the humanity while inside the cab on our way to Palanca yesterday. It was a random picture of a building. I told you, I suck in photography.

Here’s my personal favorite. Dale, Jen and I were walking home and, as always, we passed through Lover’s Lane. Dale and Jen invited me to stay ’till 3pm, but i insisted on going home, because I lacked so much sleep (and my cough and colds are killing me! HELP!). But i have to fix something I completely forgot again(damn. poor poor memory) that was why we have to seat for a couple of minutes on one of the benches. I hardly noticed *look left, see pic* yet because it was near-to-hidden. Dale was making kulit(ah! cono alert!) and I accidentally turned around and I saw the rose petal-full ‘I -heart-u’ Yiki! I think that was really really sweet.

*I remember in another instance (nabasa ko sa blog ni sis), a big big ‘SORRY’ was written instead and it was placed on the main field. Which was sweeter?

**I remember nanaman, May nakasalubong akong dalawang kuya Architecture students sa Lover’s Lane a couple of days ago. They where carrying a large large bouquet of red roses and two large plastics full of red rose petals. I don’t want to connect it with the ‘I -heart-u’

*** I remembered a lot. My memory’s not that poor, after all!:D
